Green was not the only star of the day:
But the promise of natural foods, bursting with potential:
Tartness:
And blushing beauty:
Gave me something to "fall" for despite the heat!
These pictures were taken at Lyman Orchards in Middefield, CT.

Beautiful pics! We have also been having some unseasonably warm temps. We were at the orchard Sunday sweating. lol. But the peak autumn color was last Friday. :( Thanks so much for linking to WW and Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge!
great pics! Apples definitely remind me of fall!
These are lovely! We, too have been having quite warm weather here in Chicago!
Thanks for linking up with the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge, I look forward to seeing what you come up with for Friday's new challenge!
Paula, these are such pretty shots! I love the apples. I also love your clever play on words. You do it so well.
Thanks for joining us in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge. I won't even bother telling you what the next theme is since you're obviously on the ball! lol Have a great day, friend.
Love the days like this one...Love strolling through an orchard too.
Wonderful photos...amazing apples..
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your link. It looks like apple orchard experiences are similar all over the place. Did you buy a ton like we did? A week later, we still have some waiting to be cooked, baked, fried or composted if I can't get to them fast enough. Lovely shots!
